This morning, we were awakened to a surprise.
Instead of being awakened at 6:30 or 7:00 in the morning, we were awakened at 8:30.
I don’t actually remember the last time I was able to sleep that late!
As I’m typing this up a bit after waking up, I’m realizing the value of small surprises.
In our personal and professional lives, every once in a while we’re given an opportunity that while small, helps us to recognize the importance of tiny alternations in our day-to-day lives. When we’re presented with those opportunities, we have to take them, and learn to enjoy them, regardless of how small they are.
While an extra hour or so of sleep isn’t world-changing, it is valuable, and provides enough of a change in daily life to be a welcome gift!
